This season is all about the stripes. Although the navy and white Breton is a great staple in any wardrobe, this season there are many more interesting options available on the high street.
No need to avoid horizontal stripes for fear of looking wider, the placement of the stripes and stripes of different widths confuse the eye and actually have the opposite effect!
Stripes look great with a simple pair of jeans…….frayed, flared, cropped, take your pick with the amount of denim styles around at the moment but this season I am going to style mine with a leather biker jacket, quilted handbag and wide trousers for a ‘Chanel Thug’ look!
Top, left to Right:
Top Shop Bardot £39, This great green striped top is also rocking the cold shoulder look for the season.
Ted Baker Tribal £89, cute little crop top. It also has a matching skirt. Personally I would style it with a high waist fuller option
Karen Millen Stripped jersey £55, love this soft jersey, three quarter length sleeve top. For a clean look I would style it with a black cigarette pant.
Bottom, left to right
Paul Smith Jumper from Yoox £180 , This lightweight silk and cotton jersey makes a great trans seasonal piece in your wardrobe.
Oasis Breton £38 , The tangerine stripe offers a fresh colour option. The button detail on the cuffs are really cute!
Warehouse Cream Stripe £18 (sale) I actually bought this at full price (£46) so its now an absolute bargain. I was swayed by the funnel neck and the burgundy sleeves, that said I have had plenty of wear out of it waiting for spring!
