Last week I got together with a bunch of fellow stylists for a presentation of the Autumn/Winter 2016 trends at the Reiss flagship store on London’s Regent Street.
Tailoring is at the heart of the Reiss brand (They first started in 1971 selling men’s suits). That has ensured that the fit and quality is at an exceptional standard for the high street. Although keeping a close eye on the trends their products do have a feel of innovativeness and originality about them. For that reason, they are the perfect place to look for both wardrobe updates and classic essentials such as the perfect black fitted jacket. For me they are a go to for workwear and occasion wear, although this season they have some amazing leather and fur. That said, their faux fur and leather is not cheap but is by far the best available on the high street.
Last season’s trend was all about colour contrast. This seasons its more about tonal layers and texture contrasts, hence my selection below, which take my word for it looked and felt amazing.
Faux fur coat – The feel of this fur was so divine I didn’t want to take it off.
Leather Trousers – A unique shade of petrol blue (they call it navy) that is enough of a change from black, although not a major trend for this season, they fitted like a glove and felt so sexy!
Blouse – Riess prints are unique to them, the prettiness of this silk blouse added a softness to the leather trousers, and the slightly fitted cut provided just enough shape.
Shoes – Despite the towering heel, these shoes in racing green are surprising comfortable.
