Date Night at The Prince Street Social

Zara Floral Pyjama style blouse

Well it was a Saturday night and a new Brassiere had opened in the city centre giving me a great opportunity (if I needed one!) to wear my new Zara floral Pyjama style top.

At 9.30pm, which should have been 9pm but we got delayed by a bottle of champagne,  the place and was busy and buzzing, but the waitress was perfectly lovely about us being so late. Unfortunately because it was late we had gone past the hunger mark,  and only wanted to eat to save a hangover. ‘The Date’ choose the burger at £12.25 which came in a lovely soft brioche bun also filled with bacon, cheese and salad and accompanied with the usual chips, he cleaned his plate without complaint so I guess all was well.  I continued my fascination with deep fried macaroni cheese, it must be a food trend as its the 2nd place I’ve seen in recently. This however was served described as a fritter and came with leek, caper and tomato salsa and was £10.25 as a main,  boy was it delicious! ‘The date’ washed his down with a pint of ale which was served in an old fashioned beer mug, I had a large glass of stunning white Rioja. Although after ordering, I noticed the cocktail menu and salivated over the idea of a Slow Gin fizz, another time……

The Princes Street Social have a great Sunday menu with brunch served 10am – 1pm and roast lunch at the most reasonable times of 12 – 5pm, the perfect lazy time for a roast for me is 4pm and its often a struggle to find one.

What I wore: Floral Pyjama style blouse, Zara. Black slim trousers with ankle zips, old but similar, Reiss.  Black courts, old but similar, LK Bennett. Ring, Lalique. Watch, Vintage.
