Marks and Spencer’s 31 piece collection curated by Alexa Chung is due to launch April 2016. From the glimpse revealed at the beginning of London Fashion Week, it’s clear that the collection has been inspired by classics from the Marks and Spencer’s archives and then re-imagined with the ‘Alexa’ twist. Whilst we wait for the launch, I thought I would have a look at what else Marks and Spencer’s has in store, as it works harder to try and attract more customers.
From the top and left to right:
This Blue Geometric print shirt is made of pure linen, a luxurious fabric which gives an expensive look and feel to a reasonably priced shirt.
Rocking the ‘cold shoulder’, this blue crisp cotton Bardot shirt is a modern twist on the classic blue shirt and gives it a fresh new look.
Orange is the new black and this tie waist blouse is great for highlighting a slim waist. Rather than the black trousers shown (A little Halloween for me!) I would style it with slim white cigarette pants for a far more summery and chic silhouette.
Bomber jackets are a key trend this season either printed or plain. The oriental style print on this Jacquard Zipped bomber would certainly draw some well deserved attention!
Everyone needs a statement necklace in their armory and this Sparkled tasseled one is a bargain, style it under the white shirt below.
Ruffles & pink will be everywhere this summer, this pretty pink ruffle blouse would soften up harder fabrics and working equally well with jeans or work wear.
Last seasons suede skirt sold out quickly but I think this leather belted A line version is better. The shape of the draped wrap being a much more flattering and softer shape to wear.
Add some striped colour until the warmer weather comes with this cotton metallic rainbow jumper . It’s a 70’s trend which doesn’t seem to be going away!
The white shirt is a wardrobe classic (additional blog to follow soon!) the flared sleeves on this Crisp cotton white shirt add interest and many styling options. I love it!
These wide trousers drape beautifully, what is disappointing is they only seem to be available in Navy rather than the stunning Emerald Green shown online. Great for those with slim hips!
I love the bright print on this Oriental print blouse . The orange ‘pajama style’ piping around the edges adds even more brightness to it. A great stand out top!
What are your thoughts on this seasons Marks and Spencer’s collection?
